Unser letzter Tag in Punta Cana begann wieder sehr früh, einfach weil ich wach war. Trotzdem gingen wir den Tag langsam an, da wir außer einem gemütlichen Frühstück und ein paar Stunden am Strand vor der Abholung zum Schiff nichts vorhatten. Vom Balkon aus beobachteten wir den Sonnenaufgang und den Regen, der immer mal wieder über der Anlage niederging. Nach unserem ausgiebigen Frühstück erfragten wir Details zur Abholung an der Rezeption, tranken eine dreifachem Espresso und einen Frappuccino und machten uns auf dem Weg zum Strand.
Our last day in Punta Cana began early again, just because I was awake. Despite that we took our time, because all we had planned was an unhurried breakfast and a few hours at the beach before the cruise pickup. From the balcony we watch the sunrise and the rain, that went down repeatedly over the hotel complex. After our copious breakfast we asked about some details regarding the checkout and cruise pickup, drank a triple espresso and a frappuccino and set off for the beach.
Dort erwartete uns dieses Bild. Am gesamten Strand war - soweit man in beide Richtungen sehen konnte - bis hoch zu den Liegestühlen, etwa 30 bis 40 cm hoch Seegras angeschwemmt. Die Wellen waren weiterhin so kräftig wie am Vortag und enthielten auch weiterhin - wie offensichtlich in der Nacht - viel Seegras. Das erste Mal sahen wir zwei Rettungsschwimmer an diesem Strand, die Leute im Strandabschnitt des Hotels aus dem Wasser pfiffen. Eine Gruppe von Hotelangestellten, die normalerweise für die Grünanlagen zuständig sind, hatte begonnen, das Seegras in große Müllsäcke zu füllen und wegzutragen.
There we saw what's on the picture above. Along the shore as far as we could see in both directions, sea weed piled up about 30 to 40 cm high up to the beach chairs. The waves were as high as the day before and still contained lots of sea weed - obviously as they did during the night. For the first time we saw two life guards at the beach, who whistled the people in the beach section of the hotel out of the water. A group of hotel employees normally responsible for the green area of the hotel complex had started to pack the sea weed into large garbage bags and carry them away.
